JOIN US FOR KIDS CAMP 2019!

This year we are taking our Freedom Kids Summer to the next level! Kids going into 2nd-6th grade this fall are invited to join us for a three day adventure on June 19th-21st. Kids will have the opportunity to enjoy camp activities such as swimming, hiking, archery and inflatables, build relationship with their group leader, hear God's Word in a unique and fun way, and connect with a small group of kids who are going through the same life experiences. We can't wait to kick off the summer with you!

    $100 Per Camper (March 18th - May 26th)

  • 2nd-6th Graders

    Kids entering 2nd-6th grade in Fall 2019 are invited to join us at camp.


    Preschoolers 3-5 who are potty trained through kids entering 1st grade this fall are invited to join us in the evenings from 6:30-8:30PM.

Is Kids Camp an overnight event?

Yes! Kids camp is a 3 day, 2 night experience for kids entering the 2nd-6th grade this fall.  


What should my child bring with them? (Please label all personal items.)

-play clothes (that can get dirty)

-extra clothes (for each day)

-extra underwear

-extra socks

-2 pairs of shoes

-light jacket

-one piece swimsuit or tankini

-swimming trunks

-goggles (if desired)

-pool towel

-sunscreen

-shampoo

-soap

-brush

-deodorant

-toothbrush/toothpaste

-towel and washcloth

-bedding (twin size)

-pillow

-refillable water bottle

-bug repellant

-flashlight

-board games/card games (optional)

-nerf gun *only if going into 5th or 6th grade (ammo provided)


Is there anything my child is not allowed to bring?

-phone

Who will be taking care of my kids at camp?

Each camper will be assigned to a small group of five kids of the same age and gender along with an adult group leader. This group leader is responsible for their care during the time of camp. You will have the opportunity to meet their group leader at drop off.


*All of our kids leaders are background checked and serve faithfully on the Freedom Kids Team. 


What does a day at camp look like?

Each day kids will get to experience fun, relationship, and God's Word. Check out the general schedule below. 


7:45AM | Breakfast

8:30AM | Morning Devotions

9:15AM | Small Group Time

10:00AM | Morning Activity

11:45AM | Lunch

12:30PM | Free Time (kids will have options such as the pool, archery, craft barn, etc. to do with their small group)

5:15PM | Dinner

6:30PM | Jam Session (Large Group)

7:30PM | Evening Activity / Snack

8:30PM | 2nd-4th Bed Time / 5th-6th Late Night Activity

9:30PM | 5th-6th Bed Time


Will food be provided?

Yes, dinner will be provided on Wednesday evening after arrival. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided on Thursday and Friday.


Does my child need to bring extra money?

No, there is no need for your child to bring extra money. A $5 voucher card for the snack shop is included in your child's registration. Each afternoon the snack shop will be open.


Will there be a certified lifeguard present at the pool?

Yes, Deer Creek Overlook requires and provides a certified lifeguard during all pool use. 


How will my child get to camp?

All parents should drop their child off at 4:00PM at Deer Creek Overlook Camp on Wednesday, June 19th. Our check-in team will greet you there. Please have your registration ticket ready.  


How will my child get home from camp?

All children will be picked up at 8:30PM at Deer Creek Overlook Camp on Friday, June 21st by an authorized pick up person only. Authorized pick up must have a photo ID ready. 


What if my child needs to take medication? Who gives it to them?

If your child is in need of medication please bring it with you. You will have an opportunity to check it in with our nurse staff at drop off. Our certified nursing staff will keep the medication in their care and administer when needed. A record of medicine use for your child will be filled out and given to you at pick up.
